CEPES supports the Third Sector Platform for one more year to publicize the Solidarity Company box of Corporation Tax among the Social Economy

The Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy has once again joined the campaign of the Third Sector Platform to promote and publicize the Solidarity Company of Corporation Tax box through which, for the third consecutive year, the 0.7% of the full quota that is declared for this tribute to finance social projects. The objective is to contribute to building a more just, egalitarian and inclusive society, more cohesive, both socially and territorially, that promotes innovation, digitization and sustainability.

• By checking this box, companies can allocate, for the third consecutive year, 0.7% of the proceeds of this tax to finance social projects and move towards a fairer Society.

• The objective is to exceed the collection of the previous year, set at 36.6 million euros.

• The president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedreño, has pointed out that "most of the Social Economy companies support the Solidarity Company box of the Corporation Tax, since if something characterizes them are their values and solidarity".

 

Madrid, June 23, 2021.- The Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES) has once again joined the campaign of the Third Sector Platform (PTS) to promote and publicize the Solidarity Company of Corporation Tax box Through which, for the third consecutive year, 0.7% of the full quota declared for this tribute may be allocated to finance social projects.

This has been stated by CEPES with the aim of helping to build a more just, egalitarian and inclusive society, more cohesive, both socially and territorially, that promotes innovation, digitization and sustainability.

Since the Third Sector Platform has launched this initiative, CEPES has been firmly committed to disseminating the campaign among the more than 43,000 companies of the Social Economy that the confederation represents so that, completely voluntarily and free of charge, they can join the tick box 00073 (form 200) or 069 (form 220) and thus contribute, with Corporation Tax, to the effectiveness of social entities.

The objective is to exceed the 36.6 million euros collected in the previous year's campaign so that NGOs can continue to meet the real demand and help professional training, as well as the strengthening and cohesion of the internal networks of the Third Sector in a "key" moment for Spanish society.

The coordinator of the campaign, Paquita Sauquillo , has stated that "Social Economy companies are a clear example of corporate responsibility since they place the person at the center of their activity, a value that we share from the Third Sector Platform", at the same time that he has encouraged to tick the box to promote social change and bet on a better future.

For his part, the president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedreño , has pointed out that “most of the Social Economy companies have supported the Solidarity Company of Corporation Tax box for three years because of their clear vocation for the social and their solidarity, values that they carry in their DNA; their commitment to the territory and stable and quality employment, as well as the inclusion of groups at risk of exclusion ”.

 

About Third Sector Platform

Founded in January 2012 by seven of the most representative organizations in the social field in Spain (PVE, POAS, EAPN, CERMI, Red Cross, Cáritas and ONCE), the Platform was subsequently joined by the Coordinator of NGDO of Spain and the Children's Platform.

Currently, it is made up of twenty organizations through which it represents about 28,000 entities in the social sphere.

About the campaign

The campaign is part of the Communication Campaign project for companies to mark the X for social purposes in Corporation Tax, a project financed through the call for subsidies of 0.7% of personal income tax from the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030, corresponding to the year 2020.
