CEPES joins the 'Alliance for Professional Training', the project of the Ministry of Education to promote the National System of Professional Qualifications

The Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES) joins the 'Alliance for Vocational Training: a country strategy', a project led by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training that aims to promote the National System of Professional Qualifications and improve levels of employability, both for young people and for the population as a whole, which will culminate in the development of the new VET law.

• The initiative has the commitment of more than fifty companies, organizations and institutions and aims to respond to the digital, scientific and technological revolution we are facing, as well as to improve the levels of employability of young people and the population in your set.

 

Madrid, May 24, 2021.- The Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES) joins the 'Alliance for Vocational Training: a country strategy' , a project led by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training that aims to promote the National System of Professional Qualifications and improve the levels of employability , both for young people and for the population as a whole, which will culminate in the development of the new VET law.

The initiative, which was presented today by Isabel Celaá, is signed by more than fifty companies, organizations and institutions with the aim of promoting concrete initiatives that contribute to “configuring an efficient, dynamic and excellent Professional Training that favors, within the framework of the National System of Professional Qualifications, both initial training and permanent updating throughout the life of students and the active, employed or unemployed population ”, as indicated during the presentation of the project.

CEPES, as the representative entity of the Social Economy in Spain, is one of the signatories of this commitment , since "many of the objectives of this project fully coincide with the essence of the Social Economy business model," says its president, Juan Antonio Pedreño.

Thus, within the objectives set by this project are the incorporation of digitization and sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship in the Vocational Training system or the promotion of a high-quality and innovative Vocational Training system, which contributes to the double ecological and digital transition, supporting economic growth and social cohesion.

"Today's society is constantly changing and it is necessary to acquire new professional skills, it is necessary to train people and to acquire the necessary qualifications so that they can be protagonists of the companies of the future," says the president of CEPES.

This alliance will allow us , with the help of all the agents that are part of it, to place Dual Vocational Training as the fundamental instrument to channel young people towards employment , as well as the insertion of students in companies , something essential for the future that awaits us ”, Pedreño concludes.
