Analysis of the digital transformation of training for the Social Economy '

After the institutional interventions, César López, researcher of the CEPES technical team presented the study 'Analysis of the digital transformation of training for the Social Economy' that aims to analyze trends in the digital transformation of training, in the changes that the methodologies and tools and training content, which are now more necessary than ever for the qualification / requalification of workers because they are demanded by companies and the labor market. The study is aimed at companies and entities of the Social Economy as a way to approach these emergent and urgent changes to implement in terms of the digitization of training.

For her part, Mª Paz Prendes , invited researcher of the Educational Technology Research Group of the University of Murcia, made a presentation under the title 'Digitalization of the Social Economy in the XXI century' in which technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, augmented reality, the internet of things, etc. These make up a panorama that connects the real world with the virtual world and entail social, cultural and business changes that, of course, have an impact on the Social Economy. In this presentation, the role played by entrepreneurship, teleworking, communication opportunities with the client, analysis (linked to big data), digital corporate identity and, as is evident, training was discussed. In fact, the researcher pointed out that “we live in a society with very rapid changes, in which training is vital so that citizens acquire the digital competence necessary to develop our day to day life. This too & eacute; n implies that the role of trainers changes ”.

Francisco José Montiel and Pedro Antonio García , invited researchers from the Educational Technology Research Group of the University of Murcia, made a presentation with the title 'Spanish companies and the challenge of digital transformation', in which they had an impact on the company Who wants to digitize must align various elements: have a committed leadership; implement effective teaching-learning practices that are supported by technology; offer professional development; assess knowledge and skills to promote improvement processes; generate content; collaborate and exchange knowledge; provide infrastructure and tools. With all these elements, the most appropriate training methodology supported by technology is established. Among the methodologies, the following stand out: collaborative learning, gamification, flipped class, project-based learning, game-based learning, telecollaborative projects and service learning (ApS).

´Approachment of Young People to the Social Economy, as an opportunity to access the job market`

From Abay Analysts, Maribel Martínez, consulting partner, and Belén Castro, researcher, presented the study ' Map of the situation of young people in the labor market of the social economy '. It shows that young people are the most vulnerable profile to the economic context and therefore the one that suffers the most from changes and crises. However, in the Social Economy there is a greater participation of this group, compared to other business models.

This study also draws the profile of the young worker in the Social Economy: they are women (54%), with a university degree (32.2%); who reside mainly in large cities (52.3%). In the field of Social Economy, 1 in 3 young workers have a permanent contract. In addition, in terms of sectors, they have a greater representation in Education, Social Services and in artistic, recreational and entertainment activities, compared to the adult population. Instead, they are less represented in areas such as industry, commerce or business services.

For her part, Nuria Guilló, a researcher on the CEPES technical team, presented specific action proposals for the incorporation of young people into emerging sectors in the Social Economy to achieve more inclusive employment opportunities, greater stability and greater equality. In this intervention the following lines of action were highlighted: communication and dissemination; sectoral segmentation; the education system; work with specific groups; and the territorial scope.

This study was completed with a presentation by Hector Maravall , Counselor of the Economic and Social Council, who presented the keys to the ' CES Report on young people and the labor market in Spain' . This report shows structural problems in access to employment among young people, such as the gender gap, long-term unemployment or temporary employment, which have not been corrected. In addition, the pandemic has exacerbated youth unemployment. This document also highlights that active labor market access policies require coherence, coordination, cohesion and evaluation to be effective and efficient. For all these reasons, said report proposes to encourage the permanent hiring of young people with the European funds granted for the reconstruction of the country. Specifically, it is proposed to carry out the recovery in two stages, seeking greater stability: in the first, promoting the conversion of temporary contracts through collective agreements. In the second, it is recommended to promote an initial hiring plus thisble, using the requirements for access to resources from European funds.

These projects are already available but will be definitively completed, with all their documents, conferences, videos, as of December 30 in the AULACEPES.ES Training and Dissemination Portal.
