Madrid, June 16, 2020.- In the framework of collaboration that the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES) has with the School of Industrial Organization, it has been made available to Social Economy companies and entities associated with CEPES a series of express advice and digital immersion programs, in online mode, with the aim of promoting and optimizing the financial and legal management of your business, and digitizing your production models through disruptive technologies in the industry.

The program launched by EOI is fully co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, and has no cost for Social Economy companies and participating individuals.

CEPES President, Juan Antonio Pedreño , stressed that "this type of initiatives and programs will contribute to the sustainability of Social Economy companies to be strengthened and become vectors of industrial transformation, social and technological innovation in the new scenario post Covid-19 ”.

This initiative between EOI and CEPES is also part of the work and cooperation commitment recently agreed by the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto , at her meeting with the CEPES Board of Directors, in which it was agreed to coordinate joint actions and work aligned on the plans for the industrial reconstruction of Spain after the Covid-19 crisis. The objective of this government agreement is for the Social Economy to be at the center of industrial regeneration, as it has absolutely necessary values to get out of this crisis: sustainable, flexible, stable, quality jobs, where the person prevails and is demonstrated that it is possible to combine economic, social and territorial cohesion.

Among the programs offered by EOI, the following stand out, as they contain advice and tutoring for SMEs in the Social Economy:

EXPRESS ADVICE: Focused on assisting in decision-making related to the financial and legal management of the business, through specialized training and advice, including specific aspects of the recent regulation related to COVID-19.

• The program is offered in all the Autonomous Communities and each participant will receive 10 hours of personalized mentoring through individualized tutoring adapted to the needs of their company.

• DIGITAL IMMERSION OF INDUSTRY 4.0: Aimed at people with responsibility in industrial SMEs, who have among their strategic priorities the digitization of their production models, and who are offered an immersion in successful disruptive technologies in the industry.

They are mainly addressed to managers of companies capable of articulating these investments, and initially they have been convened in a sectorial, starting with the Food, Textile and Chemical Industries. In the coming months they will be offered to the rest of the industrial sectors.

The program is national in scope and lasts 7 weeks (40 teaching hours) and 4 hours of individual tutoring per student.

The Director General of EOI, Nieves Olivera , “has positively valued the collaboration with CEPES given the similarity of values for which the two institutions work, making possible economic, social and territorial cohesion.”

Pedreño “has thanked the EOI and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism for the initiative transferred to CEPES, its partners and the Social Economy companies linked to them, which will surely contribute, once again, to converting this model business in a lever policy and an essential ally of the public powers for the economic recovery of industrial activity and employment ”.
