CEPES will participate in the Global Social Economy Forum to be held in Bilbao

The Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES) will participate in the Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF), which will be held at the Euskalduna Conference Center in Bilbao between October 1 and 3, and in which more than 1,400 government representatives, leaders, experts and Social Economy companies from 80 countries

• The president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedreño, will participate in the Opening Session of this international forum.

Madrid, 2 September 6, 2018.- The Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES) will participate in the Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF), which will be held at the Euskalduna Conference Center in Bilbao between days 1 and 3 of October.

The president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedreño , will be part of the Opening Session of this international event together with the Minister of Labor, Migrations and Social Security, Magdalena Valerio ; the lehendakari of the Basque Government, Íñigo Urkullu , the mayor of Bilbao, Juan Mari Aburto , and the president of the Basque Social Economy Network, Rosa Lavin ; among others.

Pedreño will present in this international meeting the strengths of the Spanish Social Economy, as well as the commitment of the European institutions to this business model as a formula to create economic and social wealth, ensure territorial cohesion and generate stable and quality employment.

In addition, coinciding with the holding of this forum, CEPES will hold a Board of Directors in Bilbao, in which representatives of its 27 state partners will participate.

 

International Forum

The GSEF is an international network that brings together the Administrations and local civil society stakeholders committed to supporting the development of the Social Economy. It pursues the creation of quality employment, fair growth, the progress of grassroots democracy and sustainable development. Values ​​such as human dignity and sustainable ecology must be the underlying principles of all GSEF activity.

In addition, the GSEF aims to act as a center to share perspectives and experiences through collaboration and cross-border cooperation based on multilateral partnerships in pursuit of an inclusive, egalitarian and people-centered world.
