CIDEAL and CEPES betting on the Social Economy in the new global development agenda

• Experts on Social Economy and development cooperation, together with representatives of the AECI, ILO and social partners, will discuss the role of the social economy in the new global sustainable development agenda for 2030.

 

(Madrid, October 21, 2016) .- The CIDEAL Foundation and the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES) organized next November 10 at the headquarters of the Economic and Social Council of Spain in Madrid, the conference "The economy social: a direct path to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals ".

United Nations established in 2015 Sustainable Development Goals to be achieved by 2030 globally. With the celebration of this event, the Foundation CIDEAL and CEPES want visible and make proposals to increase the role of the social economy in the achievement of the new Development Agenda adopted in September 2015 by the United Nations.

In this new global strategy, a leading United Nations gives the private sector, which includes companies of Social Economy, especially in the objectives aimed at promoting productivity, inclusive economic growth and job creation role.

The conference, held under the agreement "Improvement of social, economic and population policies of the Enriquillo (Dominican Republic) region, with special attention to women," the CIDEAL Foundation carries out the support of the AECID, will involve responsible AECID and the Ministry of Employment and Social Security. Joining them will involve representatives of United Nations agencies such as the ILO, and experts in the field of development cooperation. They will be described and discussed some cases and practical experiences, both in Spain and in the Dominican Republic, which will become apparent contributions from the field of Social Economy and the company may be made to the achievement of the ODS.
