The House of Spain and CEPES sign an agreement to promote the internationalization of social economy enterprises

The Presidents of CHAMBER OF SPAIN and CEPES have subscribed today an agreement to promote the internationalization of Social Economy enterprises, which will improve their competitiveness.

 

• The president of the Chamber of Spain, José Luis Bonet, and the president of the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES), Juan Antonio Pedreño, have signed the document in Valencia.

 

• The agreement will improve the competitiveness of companies of Social Economy through its openness to foreign markets.

 

Valencia, 11/05 / 16.- The Chamber of Commerce of Spain and the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES) today signed an agreement that will develop actions to promote the internationalization of Cooperatives, Labor Societies, Mutual Societies, Companies inserting and other organizations of the Social Economy.

The signing of this agreement is to further develop the Plan of Internationalization of Social Economy that is already operational and have jointly developed the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, the Chamber of Commerce of Spain and CEPES.

CEPES president, Juan Antonio Pedreño, stressed "the importance of this agreement, which will allow Social Economy enterprises successfully develop and realize their internationalization processes". He also recalled "the exporter character of Social Economy companies, some of which are leaders in their sectors at European and world level."

For his part, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, José Luis Bonet, stressed that the experience of this body in the field of internationalization will be at the service of social economy companies, which will have personalized advice through territorial chambers.

This Convention aims to improve the competitiveness of companies of Social Economy through the opening to foreign markets and will do so through different types of actions.

The Convention also sets the framework for collaboration between CEPES and Chamber of Spain, with meetings on a regular basis and establishing common initiatives and activities in the research, educational, informative and practical level. All this to contribute to improving the competitiveness of the Spanish company through the internationalization of social economy enterprises.

The Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES) is the largest institution representing the Social Economy in Spain, becoming a platform for institutional dialogue with public authorities. Its 28 members represent the interests of more than 44,000 companies, represented 12.5% ​​of employment and with a turnover around 10% of GDP. Partners with more than 200 regional structures are national or regional organizations and business groups, representing the interests of Cooperatives, Societies Labor, Mutuals, integration enterprises, special employment centers, associations in the disability sector and Fishermen .

The Chamber of Commerce of Spain is a public corporation and the representative body and coordination of all the Chambers of Commerce in state territorial and international bodies. also it plays an active role as an advisory body and collaboration with the General Administration.
