(Madrid, January 13, 2016) .- The Spanish universities offer graduate 70 studies related to the development and promotion of business formulas of the Social Economy, according to a study by the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES) .

The report 'The Social Economy in the university postgraduate studies - Academic Year 2015-2016 "analyzes how telematics, different training activities of the 76 universities associated with the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), both public as private.

This study, prepared by CEPES, notes the existence of different training modalities encompassed in three categories: university or official master's degrees, doctorates and degrees (including Masters own officers-no, courses expert, specialist or further training).

"From CEPES us welcomes annually universities expand postgraduate training relating to social economy, recognized by administrations and political forces as a key to creating stable and quality employment tool business sector, as well as a formula for creating economic wealth and social , "said the president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedroza.

"Although there is a growing presence of the social economy in all stages of education (from primary school to university), it is necessary to further promote the individual and collective entrepreneurship, including in education to all existing business formulas," he said Pedroza.

"Entrepreneurship through the Social Economy promoted, apart from job creation and business fabric, additional advantages motivated by the values ​​that make up the DNA of the Social Economy, as the primacy of the person, solidarity, social cohesion and territorial, gender parity among its workers and democracy in decision-making, "he pointed Pedreño.

The report prepared by CEPES reveals that Spanish universities currently offer in relation to the Social Economy 3 PhDs and 67 postgraduate courses (9 official masters or university, 15 own master 's degrees, 11 specialist courses, 8 courses university expert, 18 courses continuous learning or training, 5 degrees, 1 MBA).

 

LEGISLATION

At the state level, there are various laws and legislative proposals calling for the presence of the social economy in the various academic curricula. Among the state-level legal texts include Law 5/2011 of Social Economy, Report of the Subcommittee for the Promotion of Social Economy of the Congress of Deputies, June 2011; or the Law 14/2013 of support for entrepreneurs and their internationalization.

CEPES, to foster entrepreneurship and to give greater visibility to the Social Economy, he has asked public authorities and other social and educational agents design a complete training curriculum on the promotion of entrepreneurship in the social economy, adapted to the different stages educational. Also calls for the development of manuals, teaching guides and other materials to facilitate entrepreneurship in the social economy, through education and knowledge of this business sector.
