(Valencia, May 20, 2014) -. More than 3,000,000 workers and about 73,000 companies and organizations, representing 11.7% of GDP, are represented to the Company through the partnership signed today between the employer's Social Economy (CEPES) and the Third Sector Platform.

This agreement, signed today in Valencia by the president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedreño and the president of the Platform of the Third Sector, Luciano Poyato, aims to implement joint actions between the two entities and create a political agenda in the cross-cutting issues affecting the two platforms. Both Presidents have committed to work together at the institutional level.

"The high level of employment generated by the business of CEPES and the Third Sector, 18% of the Spanish workforce shows that there is another type of company and entities, democratic values, social and economically profitable, have a place where all people, including those with the greatest difficulties of integration, "said Pedreño.

"For this reason," added the president of CEPES, "Thanks to this agreement commit to joint action so that from all areas and this business is valued and enhances social model in which individuals and social order prevail above the benefit. "

Meanwhile, Luciano Poyato said the signing of this agreement is evidence of the strong commitment that both CEPES as the Platform of the Third Sector have with the underprivileged and at risk of social exclusion.

According Poyato, "the Third Sector and Social Economy share objectives and lines of work will be enhanced thanks to this agreement, the promotion of employment, poverty reduction and equal opportunities for all people in society" .

Another highlight is the work that companies and institutions CEPES and the Third Sector Platform made "?"?in favor of the most vulnerable and at risk of social exclusion groups. Currently, more than 5,000,000 people receive assistance through them.

In addition, about 16,000,000 people are associatively linked to an entity of Social Economy or Third Sector, of which 900,000 are volunteers.

The agreement between CEPES and Platform enhance the cooperation between all the Social Economy and the Third Sector in the fields of common material for both entities, establishing lines of collaboration to promote employment, both sectors recognize and include in official statistics ( economic and labor), implement the National Plan for Social Inclusion,collaborate in the European cohesion policy, development cooperation and promote CSR.
