The coming days 2-4 May more than 500 entrepreneurs of the Mediterranean Social Economy gather in Tunis coming days 2-4 May.
This event, which arises from the initiative of the great groups of Social Economy of France, and CREDIT MACIF COOPERATIF, aims to strengthen the social economy in the Euro-Mediterranean region, which, considering only cooperatives, is calculated there are more than 200,000 companies covering more than 137 million partners and generate 6.3 million jobs.
The event MedESS 2013, which is entitled "Spring joint involvement" is set to a meeting aimed at supporting and assisting the Social Economy actors from both sides of the Mediterranean to implement projects that respond to the great challenges of the Euro at a time of major social and economic changes.
The program for this event will include the organization of work and the installation of stands for the different participating companies and organizations, as well as the organization of plenary sessions and workshops in which attendees and to exchange views and discuss future development of the social economy inthe Mediterranean, showing good practices and projects on how the Social Economy in the Mediterranean is contributing to job creation, environmental protection, local and rural development, social inclusion, access to social services, culture, education and training, promotion of responsible consumption or financial innovation and social, between other topics of priority interest.
