CEPES considered essential a real commitment for employment and entrepreneurship for youth

CEPES has presented a package of measures to strengthen the Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship, the Ministry of Employment and Social Security as part of that is holding meetings with socioeconomic actors.

(Madrid, February 6, 2013). The Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES), held a meeting with the Secretary of State for Employment, Engracia Hidalgo and general manager of self, the Social Economy and CSR Miguel Angel Garcia to submit to the Government a series of incentive measures and urgent application aimed at reducing the high rate of youth unemployment that plagues our country.

By CEPES, the meeting was attended by its chairman,Juan Antonio Pedreño, vice presidents, 1. 2nd and 3rd of CEPES, Fernando Marcén, Rafael de Lorenzo, Pedro Muñoz and CEPES adviser representative of labor companies, Ruperto Iglesias.

The meeting revealed that the Social Economy companies are offering innovative solutions becoming an essential tool for young people regain hope and confidence in access to employment and entrepreneurship.

CEPES president, Juan Antonio Pedreño, said that this is one of the protagonists of the collective over 1000 new businesses Social Economy that constituted the first half of 2012, increasing by 30% the data of 2011. These new businesses created 15,000 new jobs. With these data it is clear that society trusts this business model as way out of unemployment.

CEPES has welcomed the Government's initiative to promote a Plan on Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship based on the cooperation of all economic actors and companies that create jobs in this country.

The president of the management of the Social Economy,noted that "it is time to take on a cohesive and comprehensive unemployment problem, by all the institutional, social and economic, public and private, that participate to varying degrees in the Spanish labor market."

Measures CEPES submitted to the Ministry of Employment and Social Security are intended to boost youth employment generating enthusiasm and confidence you need this group.

Pedreño has insisted that "Spain can not lose a generation, must end immediately with insecurity, with high rates of temporary wage employment and high labor turnover. "Implement measures that allow generational change, adding new workers to replace those who complete their work and actions empower the youth incorporation of companies, or to facilitate the creation ofnew business initiatives, "added the president of CEPES.

Pedreño recalled that Social Economy enterprises represent a business model, where in most cases the capital is in the hands of workers and therefore directly involved with the business project.

In other cases, this model is the only company that has specific formulas that facilitate the integration of groups in the labor market exclusion. Thanks to this personal involvement of employees in the business plan, along with other causes such values "?"?as democracy in making decisions, or distributionthe benefits of a collective or social order compliance, these companies have greater flexibility to adapt to adverse situations that other business models, contemplating the closure and the dismissal as a last resort.
